Privacy Policy

Your resume data

Your resumes, cover letters, job descriptions you paste, snapshots, bullet bank, and job tracker are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. The ATS checker and the job-description matcher run entirely in your browser on pasted text.

The AI writing help

The writing help (bullet improver, summary generator, polish, cover-letter draft) runs on your device with a local engine. Your text is not sent to any AI provider or server when you use it.

Accounts — the honest version

Optional accounts currently work on-device: your username and a salted SHA-256 hash of your password are stored in this browser’s local storage, and your resumes are namespaced under that username on this device. That is a convenience login for this browser, not yet a cloud account — it does not sync across devices today, and the sign-in page says so. Google sign-in activates at launch with server accounts; when that ships, this policy will be updated before the feature is enabled, and synced data will be described precisely.

Advertising and cookies

Public pages carry clearly labeled advertising (AdSense when approved; otherwise first-party house promotions). Ad providers may use cookies as described in their own policies. We never use your resume content for ad targeting, and no ads or ad scripts run inside the studio, the wizard canvas, or exported documents. We do not sell personal data — we do not hold your resume data to sell.

Analytics

We may collect aggregate, non-content metrics (page views, feature usage counts, export success/failure). Raw resumes, job descriptions, email addresses, and extracted personal text are never sent to analytics.

Deleting your data

The studio includes a “Delete all data on this device” control that erases every Instant Resume item in this browser — resumes, accounts, snapshots, tracker — immediately and completely. Clearing your browser storage does the same.
